Celebrating 5 years of Bardot in Lancaster, PA By Brian Nguyen

Updated: Dec 28, 2025

Hair is one of the ways we tell the world who we are. It changes when our lives change. It holds memories of the seasons we have lived through and reflects the confidence we grow into. From the beginning, @belikebardot understood that truth.

During quarantine, co-founders Lori Linton and Amanda Scalzo began dreaming. They wanted a salon built around intimacy and comfort. They found a former barbershop loved by locals and transformed it into something new. The bright pink door became a symbol of what they were building.

They named the salon after Brigitte Bardot, a woman known for individuality and confidence. The name carried the spirit they wanted to create. A place where beauty did not require conformity. A place where people could feel fully themselves.

When they opened their salon in downtown Lancaster, they were creating something personal. They wanted a place where people felt cared for the moment they walked inside. A place where high-end services felt relaxed. A place where you could arrive with whatever you were carrying and leave feeling lighter.

Inside, Bardot reflects their personalities. Warm colors, playful textures, patterned details, and small surprises that call back to the best parts of the 1970s. A space that values presence over perfection.

Clients quickly learned that Bardot offered more than beautiful hair. It offered a space to feel understood. That emotional connection is what turned first visits into lasting relationships. Bardot grew from character, not trend.

This fall, they celebrated five years in business. A milestone filled with gratitude and momentum. Clients have come for cuts and style but stayed because Bardot feels like home.

The celebration honored everyone who helped the salon grow. Every loyal client. Every recommendation. Every person who trusted a new look. Each one shaped a salon that feels warm and welcoming from the moment the door opens.

The next five years hold even more possibility. Lori and Amanda continue to evolve with their clients and with the city they love. They remain rooted in the simple truth that started everything. #Hair is part of how we step into ourselves each day. By Brian Nguyen
